NYSCI After Dark Field Trip: North Brooklyn Boat Club

July 27, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

During Summer 2017, NYSCI is taking its After Dark events off-site via a series of “field trips.” These gatherings will serve as introductions to some inspiring local groups and community partners via tours, workshops, talks and hands-on activities. Each event will highlight the uniqueness of the establishment we’re visiting, and will include food and/or beverage tasting and provide insights from local experts.

Location: North Brooklyn Boat Club, 437 McGuinness Blvd, Brooklyn, NY 11222

Please join us for a night with our friends at the North Brooklyn Boat Club. Learn about what this amazing group offers to its members and to the public via their paddles and environmental and nautical workshops.

This event is free, with drinks available for purchase.
(There is a suggested donation of $5 – $10.)

The North Brooklyn Boat Club
northbrooklynboatclub.org
The North Brooklyn Boat Club is dedicated to enabling and advocating for human-powered boating on the waterways bordering Greenpoint/Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The organization enables local citizens to be effective stewards of the ecology and so preserve the recreation and freedom that the waterways engender. The NBBC comprises local kayakers, canoeists, sailors, environmentalists, boatbuilders, community leaders, and activists. We are an open group and invite anyone with an interest in boating, open space, environmental education, and nautical recreation to join our public events and open meetings and to consider membership and volunteering.
