Meet the 3rd Grade students enrolled in the Fall 2017 Creative Computing Academy after-school program, and celebrate their accomplishments in computer science.

During the 16-week institute, the students enrolled in the program learned the fundamentals of computer science through design-based storytelling projects, using the free computer programming language tool, Scratch. Final projects have taken the form of digital stories with characters programmed to perform different actions. Please join us as these talented students present their digital stories to their families and museum visitors. Free with NYSCI admission.

The Creative Computing Institute was created to help bridge the computer science educational gap in elementary schools in NYSCI’s surrounding neighborhoods of Corona and East Elmhurst.
