Carnegie Hall Neighborhood Concert: Sbongiseni Duma

June 4, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

When singer, songwriter, dancer, and choreographer Sbongiseni Duma takes the stage, he transports audience members to South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province. “Bongi” is joined by an ensemble that features African djembe drums, percussion, acoustic guitar, and bass for a family-friendly performance that explores the unique features of South African music. Vocal clicks, call and response, and dance moves will have audience members up out of their seats. NYSCI is pleased to be a Carnegie Hall Neighborhood Concert host with this performance by Sbongiseni Duma.

Registration entitles you to free general admission to NYSCI for the day and entrance to the concert at 2 pm.

The concert will last approximately 1 hour.
