New for 2018 – The Long Island Tabletop Gaming Expo is part of the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo! Having dabbled in a tabletop gaming area for a few years we felt it was time to really expand the section this year since not only is tabletop gaming really fun, but most people on the Expo team are also tabletop gamers! of video game tournaments complete with prizes. Compete in old favorites like Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario Kart, and Street Fighter among many others. Don’t fancy the heat of competition? The freeplay section will be going full blast serving up the gaming gems you remember. Retro PC gaming also makes a triumphant return. Don’t forget about the console LAN party – play on networked Xboxes and Gamecubes against others in a fun and relaxed environment.

The Retro Gaming Museum features rare consoles and software from gaming’s past, graciously donated by various collectors in our community. Our museum isn’t just a show and tell – many of our rarities will be open for free play, including the Sharp X68000 Computer, FM Towns Marty, and Amiga 500!

2018 also sees an increase in our musical performances. If you like retro gaming music, you can’t miss these performers!

Bring your cosplay A game! The Expo’s cosplay contest, hosted by local actress/singer/model Lauren Clover, and sponsored by Geek-E Magazine, is sure to bring Long Island’s most excellent cosplayers out to show their stuff. 2018 also sees even more panels and presenters from the retro gaming community. Come see many of your favorite YouTube and podcast gaming personalities as well as some special surprise guests. Expo hours are 10:00am-10:00pm on Saturday, August 11 and 10:00am-5:00pm on Sunday August 12.
