Summer ArtLab: The Math of Mandalas

The word “mandala” is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning “circle.” Mandalas feauture a series of concentric circles that radiate outward from a central point with repeating shapes, colors and designs. Traditionally, mandalas are used in cultures around the world to promote relaxation and healing. Learn about the important role math plays in the creation of mandalas, and create your own, one-of-a-kind mandala!
Fee: $3 with museum admission, $2 LICM members
