Let’s Get Growing after school children will be growing ingredients for a Pizza Garden! Students will get outdoors, get motivated to plant and eat vegetables and learn a love of gardening. Learning basic plant parts and common plant identification, gardening skills, healthy soil maintenance, healthy food choices and harvesting, they will watch their garden grow. They will gain knowledge about plants, insects, garden tools, how to use a field guide and so much more. Students will regularly observe and maintain the garden. They will also grow herbs.

Dress appropriately to work outdoors (weather permitting). Smart snack provided compliments of Nature’s Path.
