Get the buzz on bees! This course is designed for beginners and will cover basic biology and anatomy of honey bees as well as apiculture essentials such as colony care, honey extraction, equipment, disease prevention, and more. Classes begin in the fall and run through the following summer so you have support with your hives through an entire season! The course includes 9 sessions in total: 6 Thursday evenings and 3 Saturday mornings in the apiary. Taught by Queens Farm beekeeper Walter Blohm, who has over 35 years of experience in apiculture.
