New York State Parks is excited to annouce that the 5th Annual Great Jack-O’-Lantern Sail will take place at Belmont Lake State Park on Saturday, October 28 from 3PM to 6:30PM.

This Halloween themed event offers fun for the entire family. Children can make scary crafts, play games, visit a not-so-spooky “Spooky Den”, check out the petting zoo, and stop by various trick or treat stations. Don’t forget your Halloween costume!

Once the activities close, be sure to witness the grand finale Pumpkin Sail at approximately 6:15PM. Space to participate in the sail is limited to the first 50 Jack-o’-Lanterns. Be sure to drop off your carved jack-o’-lantern between 10AM and 2PM at the Belmont Lake Boat Docks. Pumpkins received are placed on floation devices with candles inserted inside and sailed around the lake behind kayaks.
