Alley ECOclub: Icey Extremes

January 7, 2018 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Every wonder why ice floats in a glass instead of sinking to the bottom? Want to learn why freezing water becomes snow, sleet, ice, or hail? Come join us to learn about ice and the extreme organisms that can survive its chilling effects! Young discoverers will be doing some cool science experiments with dry ice. We will learn about extremophiles like lichens and mosses. Participants will take home their own DIY moss gardens.
